Fly in a Historic T-6 Warbird

The flight, the pilot and the crew were excellent. They were both professional and personable. I would flight with them again and recommend them to anyone interested in flying with them.

I was fortunate and we had perfect weather. I was scheduled before Covid struck. And you guessed it, I had to reschedule. Cloud-9 was great on working with me and rescheduling. The American Airpower Museum was great. From when we arrived till we left we were well taken care of. The ground crew and pilot explained everything going on.

Awesome if you know the area it will be amazing to fly over.

The T6 warbird flight was fabulous- the pilot was amazing snd the museum and watching the other war plane take off was Very interesting. Great experience!

This was an unforgettable experience. My pilot (Craig) was awesome. I could not stop smiling for the entire day. I will definitely be going back to try out the bi-plane. If you are thinking about it, just do it! It is worth every penny.

What an amazing experience! I have always been into aviation and my wonderful wife gave me this opportunity as a Christmas present. This was the first time I had ever been up in a small aircraft and I cannot think of a better way of doing so! After a quick pre-flight briefing the ground crew helped strap me into the parachute seat and went over the gages on the instrument panel. Words cannot describe the sensation I felt as the engine started up. The entire plane just roars to life! I was the first flight of the day so part of the taxi was running the engine up during which time the pilot explained what he was doing and adjusting as well as some of the flight characteristics which made the experience even better. Even as the passenger you can easily get the since of just how much power this old plane has! The takeoff was great! We did an early turn over the museum where I waved to my wife below and took some pictures. The flight was so memorable! We flew out over the beach and the pilot explained what was below as well as the history of the area. The weather was beautiful and I could not have dreamed of a better day for flying! We did some steep banking turns out over the beach which really allowed you to feel how agile the plane could be! The view from up there is one of the best things that words just cannot describe. I will definitely remember it forever! The landing was so smooth it was as if he just floated the plane down onto the runway! At the end of the flight my face actually hurt from smiling the entire time! By far, the coolest thing I have ever done!!!

It was a fun day flying on the T6 ww2 trainer and walking through the museum. It was a beautiful day , the pilot was pleasant knowledgable and capable, the museum staff was very helpful. Had fun

Wow, a great day in my life. The crew at the American Airpower Museum is so kind and professional and talented... What a great group of enthusiasts... You can't do better than the real thing, veterans, pilots and mechanics who all love these old planes.

I've been in very small planes, but *never* with the canopy open and the wind in my hair. Now I understand why people learn to fly and own small planes. After the flight I spent an hour or so visiting the Museum and learning something about US aircraft history. A super enjoyable day.

Out of this world, much better then expected. Pilot was great, made the flight very interesting. Had a great time.

The people I met were the best group of individuals I have ever had the privilege of meeting. They were an unbelievable group. I liked them so much that I volunteered to work at the museum when I retire in the spring. Fabulous. Thank you, all!

Best way is to just say it was great. People were helpful, the pilot and guides were very knowledgeable about all the planes and wars. Great conversations, the whole experience was the best.

The experience was excellent -- from the booking through the flight. The team at the museum was fabulous. Would definitely recommend!

My original appointment scheduled for OCT 1st was cancelled by the pilot because of bad weather. A gentleman called to inform me of the pilot's decision and we rescheduled the flight to be on OCT 8th, which is the date of my second choice that I had originally provided. I really appreciate the fact that the pilot was concerned enough about the weather to cancel the flight for a safety concern (as well as having it on a clear day when the flight will be more enjoyable), and also that they were kind enough to call me early enough in the day for me to still be home and not wait until I arrived at the Air Power Museum to tell me. On OCT 8th the sky was clear, the temperature was warm and the flight was fantastic. The pilot gave me an awe-inspiring tour of Long Island, flying over Jones Beach in Nassau County on the South Shore, and getting a great view of the tower and amphitheater. From there we passed Fire Island to Robert Moses Park in Suffolk County and a spectacular view of the tower there. After crossing Long Island, we then flew back along the North Shore turning back to Republic Airport over Huntington Harbor. There was one bad part of the flight which was the landing, which meant that the OUTSTANDING flight was over. I was able to make most of the flight with the canopy open and the feeling of the air rushing by and the sound of the engine was great, reminding me of the sound and feeling in a jump plane when the door opens as you are about to exit as I am a skydiver with a B license. After the flight, one of the gentlemen took my wife and I on a fantastic guided tour close to the planes on display in areas, not normally accessible to the public. We were so close that we were able to touch the signature of President George Bush who signed his name on one of the airplanes on display --- the tips he flew in WWII and had been flying when he was shot down during a mission. Do I recommend this Cloud 9 Living flight to others? YES, in a heartbeat.

From the time we made the first inquiry to the end when we said goodbye, we were really happy. The pilot was very accommodating knowing well that I had over 1000 hours of flying on the T-6. The ground crew and pilot Nick were just too good and made sure I had a time of my life after having last flown in 1984 and this specific T-6 after 1969. Thank you very much. Next time I will try another one.

"Do you like roller coasters?" my pilot asked, before banking left and right to give me great views of Long Island Sound. I did a T6 Warbird flight out at Farmingdale, LI's American Airpower Museum. Flight was cancelled the first time out due to weather, and then they squeezed me into the flights going in and out for the Jones Beach Airshow over Memorial Day Weekend. Day was a little chaotic, but the museum and flight staff (Jackie and Suanne) were awesome and my pilot Nick and the groundcrew were terrific. Gorgeous skies and views, and superawesome ride. (The flight experience was well worth my motion sickness afterward. Ooops.)
