What happens on the day
There’s nothing tastier and more refreshing than a hand-picked, machete-cut pineapple straight from the fields. On this fun and delicious 1.5-hour tour, you’ll follow your expert guide into one of the most famous pineapple farms and discover why this fruit has become so synonymous with Hawaii’s landscape and culture.
Located in Upcountry Maui’s plantation town of Haliʻimaile, you’ll travel by car through iconic pineapple fields to learn about the fruit’s growing cycles as well as the planting and harvesting techniques. Get an up-close view of how the workers cultivate the fruit by hand and taste several delicious varieties of pineapple along the way.
Next, you’ll tour the processing factory to see how each pineapple is carefully tested, sorted, and packaged. You’ll leave with your very own pineapple in a specially boxed package that’s air travel approved, so you can take the flavors of Hawaii home with you!
