Take a trip back in time as you race down the runway and imagine yourself as one of the infamous WWII fighter pilots. Sleek, sexy, and fast, the P51 Mustang is widely considered to have been the plane that turned the tides of the war and was named "the most aerodynamically perfect pursuit plane in existence," by the Truman Senate War Investigating Committee in 1944.
After take-off, you'll experience the rush of soaring through the abundant blue skies of Sonoma Valley and soak in the breathtaking views of its famous rolling hills and vineyards!
The North American P51 Mustang:
This long-range bomber traditionally is a single seat craft, but you will get the rare opportunity to ride as a passenger in the specially installed jumpseat. There are only a handful of these planes that fly commercially, so don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity!

Is it safe?
What if my flight is cancelled for weather?
Can people with physical disabilities go on this flight?
In general, yes. Please contact Virgin Experience Gifts directly to discuss and ensure the experience provider is able to accommodate.
Can I bring a camera or camcorder?
Yes, but your camera must have a strap. A camera with a wide angle or panoramic lens is best, but even a throw away camera will capture this unforgettable experience. A camcorder is okay as long as it is one of the smaller handheld types.
Is the cockpit climate controlled?
The Canopy of the North American P51 Mustang is a Bubble Canopy, which offers great visibility but is not climate controlled and gets very warm when the temperature is above 90 degrees outside. When booking in the summer, it’s suggested to choose a time between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM to accommodate a more comfortable ride.

If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. Cancellation Policy
Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is canceled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider.

An amazing experience of a lifetime. A one hour ride in a P-51 Mustang. Throw in the beautiful scenery of Sonoma, CA area and one terrific pilot, Chris Prevost. The thrill of riding in one of the most famous fighting aircraft was remarkable. The sound of the engine and the feel of acceleration will leave you with goose bumps and a big smile that lasts for days. A safety briefing preflight and we were on our way. Blessed with a smooth flight with only a short fog delay it was a picture perfect trip. The fog delay was so I could see the best sights the area has to offer. And I did. Thank you Chris and Sherill for a great experience.
Once in a lifetime bucket-list experience. The plane was in excellent condition and very well maintained. The pilot was very knowledgeable and the entire team was very friendly. Loved that Travis took our little boys and my wife down to the runway so they could watch the take-off. Down to earth, no-fuss people! Loved that! Flying experience itself was outstanding!
